Following was reported by Dan M.:

Note from Member Ken B. Regarding the Water / Mud Near Rincon Fire Station:

“Three of us tried to ride through the water and mud Saturday, 28 January. The first guy fell because he was going too slow. The rest of us went through faster but our feet got soaked. On the way back, I walked along the railroad tracks but damaged my cleats so probably should have gone through the water again. The water and mud were challenging.”

Other members have also walked along the tracks.

I (Dan) recommend that for safety reasons, we continue not scheduling rides through the area until the water and mud are cleaned – up.

My understanding is that if a bicycle route is impassible it is okay to ride on the freeway.  Many years ago, under similar circumstances that is what we did.
