Are you or a family member interested in learning to be a more confident cyclist? Bicycle Street Skills (also called Traffic Skills 101 by the League of American Bicyclists) are part of a series of THREE informative, fun and FREE classes! All levels of riders (age 16 +) are welcome: non riders can join too!

PART 1 - Get Your Bike Ready to Ride! Tuesday, July 26th (7:00 - 9:00pm)

Learn all the important aspects of basic and responsible bike usage: fixing flats, ABC quick check, bike fit and some safety considerations.

Hosted at City of Ventura, Anacapa Conference Room. (classroom session at 501 Poli St, no bike is necessary)

    PART 2 - Become a Confident Rider! Thursday, July 28th (7:00 - 9:00pm)

Understand your rights & responsibilities as a driver operating a bicycle safely and legally on public roadways. Most importantly, develop the ability to identify unsafe traffic situations and make decisions that can prevent crashes and collisions.

Hosted at City of Ventura, Anacapa Conference Room. (classroom session at 501 Poli St, no bike is necessary)

    PART 3 - Bike Handling Skills & Group Ride Saturday, July 30th (8:00 - 12:00pm)

On Saturday morning, the group meets at 505 Poli St. parking lot to practice handling skills on the blacktop for a couple hours. Then, our LCIs will lead a fun no-drop group ride around Ventura.

    * For liability reason, our League Cycling Instructors (LCIs) cannot accept participants who didn't attend "Become a Confident Rider" on Thursday.

****** Register by returning the attached form or contact Derek Towers to sign up or with any questions. ******

REMINDER: A bike in working condition and a helmet are required.

Adult Bike Education is supported by the City of Ventura.
