Amgen's stage in Ventura is on May 13, and a close look at the route shows a number of things:  (a) very little of the route is actually in Ventura, and (b) much of the Ventura route has serious and dangerous road conditions with pot holes and uneven surfaces particularly along Sanjon and Harbor Blvd.  And (c) we can expect some Amgen support and news media to be entering Ventura southbound from the 101 at West Main Street which is a pothole nightmare from the 101 exit all the way to Ventura Avenue.

I'm hoping CIBC members can exert collective muscle to urge the City to get these repairs completed before May 13.

As a Ventura resident, I hope we can showcase our community positively to the competitors and cycling world viewers, and that their stay here is memorable, and not, "Oh! that pot hole city?!"
